Lukas Politis - Community-Focused Broadcasting Student at Iona College

An undergraduate at Iona College in New York, Lukas Politis is a Gael scholar and studies media and strategic communications. Lukas Politis is active with the Iona Chapter of the volunteer service-focused Zeta Kappa Chi Fraternity. In addition, he assists in The Chance Cosgrove Foundation and Dowie Corp Fundraising activities. For the Saint Baldricks’ Foundation, he has been shaving his hair to raise money toward childhood cancer research for the last 10 years and received an award for his efforts.

Lukas Politis’ work experience includes a 2018 summer position as a driver assistant with Manhattan Beverage Distributors in Suffern, New York. Showing up at the warehouse early each morning, he accompanied drivers to retail locations spanning several counties and unloaded crates of beverages. He also undertook the loading of product and assisted with driver customer service and navigation.

Mr. Politis enjoys sports in his free time and achieved victory in the Intramural Basketball 3v3 Fundraiser Tournament. An outdoors enthusiast, he goes hiking, snow boarding and mountain biking. As a member of Trout Unlimited he enjoys fishing. He takes pleasure in excursions with his family when he has the chance.
